Admission to M.S. (by Research Program)
IIT Jodhpur invites applications for admission to the M.S. (by Research) program offered by the Rishabh Centre for Research and Innovation in Clean Energy (RCRIC)for the Semester commencing from December 2023.
IIT Jodhpur, in collaboration with Rishabh Instruments Limited and Ivaan Foundation, has established the Rishabh Centre for Research and Innovation in Clean Energy (RCRICE). The primary objective of this center is to facilitate and promote a multidisciplinary approach to generate transformative research outcomes and viable technological solutions in the form of products and processes relevant to the clean energy sector. These products and solutions, in turn, are specifically aimed to be adopted by relevant industries or lead to entrepreneurial ventures under the guidance of the Technology Innovation and Start-up Centre (TISC) at IIT Jodhpur. The special emphasis is given on innovation driven approaches for next generation energy technology challenges. The center aims to engage with other academic institutions, technology centres, Startups, and Industries across the country to address the real technological challenges in energy domains, such as green and renewable energy, power generation and storage, micro-grids for distributed applications, etc.
Introducing our center's premier program: M.S. (by Research)! This flagship initiative forms the heart of our research and technology mission, fostering collaborative research. Our primary aim is to pioneer groundbreaking technology solutions in the Energy sector.
This program's adaptable structure enables a group of students, guided by our esteemed faculty, to unite on a single project geared towards creating an innovative process or product. All participants in the project are eligible for their degrees upon project completion.
Our program's unique framework caters to a select group of students with aspirations to tread the challenging path of technological innovation within the green energy sector, ultimately driving novel products into the market through entrepreneurial ventures. Program Duration: 2-4 years for full-time students and 3-5 years for part-time students.

Postgraduate Admissions
The process of admission for all the programs offered by the Institute normally is underway during April-May for Semester
- and during November-December for Semester
- In addition, the department may process applications for admissions to PhD programs on a continuous basis and admit students as per the existing procedure.

Maximum and minimum number of credits a student can register in different programs:
- M.Sc.: A M.Sc. student can register for a maximum of 24 credits and a minimum of 10 credits in a semester.
- M.Tech.: A M.Tech. student can register for maximum and minimum credits as per Table

- M.Tech.- Ph.D. dual degree/Direct Ph.D. (Joining after B.Tech.) - The maximum and minimum credits that a M.Tech.-Ph.D. dual degree/direct Ph.D. student can register are equivalent to that of a M.Tech. (Regular/External/Part-time) student.
